Scouting offers fun and friendship, challenge and everyday adventure to more than 450,000 girls and boys across the UK. We have a positive impact on young people, our 105,000 adult volunteers and the communities in which we live.
We consider ourselves to be one big happy family, from the youngest beaver, right to the oldest leader. Due to the hard work of our dedicated leadership team and the many people behind the scenes who offer their support we are able to offer the Scouting programme and a range of adventurous activities to all our members, including adults.
We have been running since 1980 and have recently moved to our current premises at St Johns Church and can now offer more for our young people than we could previously.
Leaders have recently been to the New Badge Work launch date and have started to implement the new badge criteria into our weekly programmes and hope that our young people enjoy the challenges set for them.
All of our Leaders and helpers give their time voluntarily and in return we expect a level of respect and discipline from our young people - anyone found to be in breach of this ruling will be dealt with accordingly.
We are a uniformed group and every member is expected to wear their uniform with pride, every week. Uniform requirements are listed in each section.
