Welcome to the first update of our newsletters online.
We have recently been to camp with the Cubs and Scouts and had a great time. The Cubs and Scouts tried their hands at bivvy building, fire lighting as well as trying the new art of "Lets keep a big secret from Bob!"
This big secret was a suprise Birthday Party for Bob, as it was her birthday whilst at camp. She was very surprised but thoroughly enjoyed the attention not to mention the 2, yes 2, birthday cakes. Many Happy Returns to Bob!!
As a group we are implementing a whole new range of things - so keep your eyes and ears peeled for more information.
The Annual St Georges Day parade was held on Sunday 26 April. The weather was perfect - it didn't rain!! Thanks go to all those who attended - pictures of the day have been added but there are more to come. Bob managed to do her part in the service, she had to go to front of church and get all the Beavers in the district to remake their promise. She mananged to do it all without tripping, falling or making a fool of herself - AND she could be heard by all in church - she got compliments from many on the day and thanked everyone for their support.
We are in the process of getting a supplier for embroidered clothing for our group - details can be found by clicking the PINK button in the footer of this, and every, page.
Details of "free" fundraising is listed below via EasyFundraising but we notice that not many people have yet signed up for it - should you need any help about what it involves please see Nadine and she will be able to give you some pointers to make sign up easy for you.
If any parent, guardian or grandparent would like to offer their services please see Nadine - you will not have anything to have to do that you are not willing to offer to do. Help for weekly meetings or completion of paperwork is always well received.
